For the third year running, Kic has teamed up with New Balance to launch another Kicrun 8-Week Challenge.
This year’s theme, ‘For the Run of It’, encourages Aussie women to run their way — with no pressure, no unrealistic standards, and zero unnecessary metrics. Just movement, joy, and progress at your own pace.
Whatever your running goal, Laura and Steph will be in your ear every step of the way through guided audio runs.

Enrolments open today, so now is the perfect time to commit to your goal.
“Spring is such a beautiful time of year to try something new and get back outdoors again,” says co-founder Laura Henshaw.
“I’ll be cheering from the sidelines this year, but there’s something incredibly powerful about being part of a run challenge — knowing there’s a whole community behind you and sharing the journey as you hit your goals.”

With the Sydney Marathon still fresh in everyone’s feed, the Kicrun 8-Week Challenge with New Balance is a timely reminder that running doesn’t have to be about speed or distance.
“Kicrun is personal, not performative,” she explains.
“Whatever your reason are to run, we’ll be right there on the sidelines through our Kic community and guided runs, encouraging you to run your way.
“Through our partnership with New Balance, we’re here to boost that feel-good motivation and gently build endurance. This challenge isn’t about how far or how fast, it’s about that joyful endorphin-rush that takes over and finding the fun in your run.”
To keep the momentum going, there’s also a nationwide series of inclusive in-person run clubs every Saturday in Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast suitable for runners of all levels.

And for any new mums, there’s guidance for those returning back to exercise too.
“It can be extremely daunting getting back into any physical activity post-pregnancy, but I am beyond excited to be leading this for the Kic community,“ co-founder Steph Claire Smith says.
“It’s really important to remember that you don’t need to do long workouts or stick to a complicated routine to get moving again.
“It’s all about listening to your body, being kind to yourself, and finding the joy in the movement you do. Kicrun’s return to our running postpartum program helps you prioritise time for yourself while gently rebuildingconfidence through small, achievable goals.”

And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, the launch of the September challenge coincides with a new sneaker from New Balance.
Meet the Neon GreenFuelCell Rebel v5 running shoe, a supportive, bold and bright training sneaker perfect for daily runs.
