An American influencer has fumed about children being allowed into breweries in a rant on social media.

“Why are there four-year-olds with iPads tripping servers carrying six beers while I am trying to cry about a boy while getting drunk at midday,” the clearly annoyed TikTokker known as Zoe said.

“Why is your five-year-old daughter playing giant Jenga and ruining everything for everybody? It’s giant Jenga because it’s for big people. You’re a tiny, little, baby person. Go home and play regular-size Jenga.

“This is a brewery. This is where we go to get day drunk and cry and get hungover by 6pm.

“I do not think I am entitled to a child-free world but I do think we are all entitled to a child-free brewery. Leave them at home.”

The clip has been loved more than 300,000 times.

Journalist Justin Smith and Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli spoke about the passionate rant when they joined Sunrise host Nat Barr on Thursday.

Smith said: “It goes against the grain to side with a ranting American but I’ve almost got the feeling I had to. I agree. The kids have lots of time for alcohol and don’t need to be in a place like this.

“I seem like a very authoritarian figure at the moment but, no, I agree with her, I think she is bang on.”

Natoli took a more relaxed approach.

“I think that if you have a brewery, serving a schnitzel and a beer and Bluey on the big screen, you will have families there,” she said.

“There are too many Karens in the world and they are not all middle-aged.”

Zoe’s rant divided opinion on TikTok.

“Nah, we are absolutely all entitled to child-free zones and I say that as someone with children,” one person commented.

“Can we advocate for some child-free Costco hours,” another wrote.

“Why are breweries trying to be child-friendly, I hate it,” yet another added.

However other people encouraged Zoe to have more patience.

“If the brewery is a restaurant, then kids will be there. Go to a 21 and over bar,” one person wrote.

“You’re not entitled to anything. If a business allows kids, expect kids. If they don’t then you don’t. Not that hard,” another person added.

“Breweries and wineries are for families, bars are for the singles and childless,” someone else said.
