Recipe below:

SANDWICH PRESS ‘MORNING SHOW’ BURGER

Ingredients:

  • Brioche buns
  • Streaky bacon
  • Mince (beef)
  • Cheese slices- I use Costco American cheese slices, or Woolworths do a smoked burger cheese. Or you can use any preferred cheese slices
  • Red onion
  • Caramelised onion relish - Berenberg
  • Aioli
  • Butter

Method

Mince on one press, flatten down the mince into a “slab” it can be shaped at the end. Cook for around 5mins. Season with salt and pepper.

To cook bacon on press lightly butter the press and cook the bacon.

Toast the brioche buns x4

Finely slice onions into rings (if they don’t enjoy raw they can also be put on the press, fit them in along side the mince

On the toasted buns add onion relish to bottom bun.

Top bun add a swirl of BBQ sauce and aioli.

Once mince is browned remove from press and cut into 4 squares, you can make 2 burgers with 2 mince, or 4 burgers with 1 mince each.

Once bacon is as desired, remove from press and set aside.

Assemble. Meat on bottom bun, cheese, bacon, red onion rings, top bun with sauce .

If going for 2 double burgers: bottom bun, meat, cheese, meat cheese bacon red onion, top bun with sauce.
