A series of violent incidents leading to a crash and emergency declaration earlier this week has ended with the arrest of two people after a days-long search.
Police said the man and woman were taken into custody on Saltwater Creek Rd in St Helens near Maryborough, Queensland, about 7.35am on Wednesday, following extensive investigations by the Petrie Criminal Investigation Branch.

The 35-year-old man from Granville and the 26-year-old woman from Maryborough are now facing a string of serious charges including armed robbery, assault and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Queensland Police allege the pair assaulted two separate women while attempting to steal their vehicles at a BP service station in Morayfield just after 5.45am on Saturday, September 14.
The duo then allegedly targeted a red Mitsubishi Outlander, assaulted the driver and stole the vehicle before fleeing north on the Bruce Highway.
The car was later found crashed in Glenview, on the Sunshine Coast, about 11am the same day.


Police said a man and a woman were seen running from the wreckage on foot.
In response, officers declared an emergency under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA), locking down the surrounding area for several hours.
The suspects were not located at the time, but a homemade firearm was recovered near the crashed vehicle.
Both the weapon and the car have been seized for forensic examination.
The 35-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery, assault causing injury, breaking and entering, using a vehicle without permission, driving without a licence, and seriously assaulting an older person.
The 26-year-old woman has been charged with armed robbery, assault causing injury, breaking and entering, using a vehicle without permission, and seriously assaulting an older person.
Both have been refused bail and are expected to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 18.
Police thanked members of the public who came forward with information during the investigation and confirmed investigations are ongoing.
