A major police operation has come to an end after a stolen car crash sparked an emergency declaration and manhunt.
Officers were called to Glenview, near Old Caloundra Rd on the Sunshine Coast, shortly after 11 am on Saturday, following reports a red Mitsubishi Outlander had crashed and its occupants had fled into the surrounding area.
The vehicle had allegedly been stolen hours earlier from a business off the Bruce Highway at Morayfield about 5.45am, with the driver reportedly threatened at gunpoint.

Fearing for public and officer safety, police declared an emergency under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) at 12.55pm, locking down the area as specialist officers moved in.
During a search of the area, police recovered a firearm believed to have been dumped by the suspects.

The emergency declaration was revoked just after 3.10pm, but investigations are still underway.
The stolen car and the firearm have both been seized for forensic testing.
The occupants of the crashed vehicle have not been located yet.
Police are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
