A body has been found during the search for a missing man near a popular tourist site in NSW.
Bradley Hair, 57, was reported missing after last being seen on Monday in the Illawarra/South Coast region.
Police launched inquiries on Tuesday and began searching the Kiama Blowhole area on Wednesday, where they located the local man’s body.
“While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man,” NSW Police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.

A pedestrian has been injured when they were hit by a car in Adelaide’s northwest.
The person was struck on The Golden Way in Wynn Vale just after 10am.
They suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Golden Way is currently closed to south bound traffic from Surrey Farm Dr.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
Also in South Australia, a cyclist has died in a crash at Kenton Valley, about 40km east of Adelaide.
At 12pm on Tuesday, a van and cyclist collided and the 59-year-old died.
The driver, a 66-year-old man, was not injured and he was later charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He was bailed to appear in court on September 25.
The body of a man has been found on a footpath near a park south of Brisbane.
A resident found the man on a footpath at Reserve Park on Gunungai Dr in Slacks Creek about 7am.
The man has not yet been identified.
“Investigations into the cause of the man’s death continue,” Queensland Police said.
Anyone with any information has been urged to come forward.
A magnitude 3.6 earthquake has hit Kangaroo Island, just off the mainland of South Australia.
The quake was recorded at a depth of 10km west of Kingscote about 1am on Wednesday.
Dozens of people reported feeling the quake including those on the mainland.
“Shook the sliding glass doors here in Victor Harbor,” one person said.
“Felt a rumble in Goolwa around 12.30am,” another said.
It’s unclear if there has been any structual damage.
Three people have been charged following an alleged stabbing during a neighbourhood dispute on the NSW Central Coast.
A fight broke out between two women and a man on Gossimer Close in Killarney Vale, about 2pm on Monday.
All three were found suffering stab wounds, with a 23-year-old woman airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
A 34-year-old woman was taken to the same hospital in a serious condtion while a 20-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.
All three were placed under police guard.
On Tuesday the man was released and charged with four offences.
He appeared in court and was refused bail.
Overnight he was charged with an additional offence of possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm and will again appear in court on Wednesday.
Both women have also been released from hospital and were taken to Newcastle Police Station where they have been charged.
The 23-year-old was charged with reckless wounding while the 34-year-old was charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (in company).
They were both refused bail to appear in court today.
It’s believed all three are known to each other.
A man left for dead in a fatal hit-and-run in Sydney’s northwest has been identified as police seize a car as part of their investigation.
Dean Lovell, 51, was found dead along Springwood Rd in Yarramundi, 10km southwest of Richmond, about 11.30pm on Monday.
Police say he was walking westbound on the shoulder of the road when he was hit by a car that failed to stop.
A passing driver stopped and saw the Hawkesbury local on the ground however he was already dead.
It’s unclear why Lovell was walking on the remote stretch of road so late at night.
Police had identified vehicle debris similar to an early 2000s model Ford Festiva near where Lovell was found.
A dark-coloured car was also seen driving erratically and without its lights on along Springwood Rd around the time of the incident.
Following an appeal to the public for help police recieved information about a damaged car seen in Glenbrook about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
A black 2005 model Ford Fiesta, with damage to the front and windscreen, was seized for further examination.
It had not been as reported stolen.
Police are now asking to speak with a 39-year-old man who they believe can assist with their investigation.
“Inquiries are continuing and investigators have renewed their appeal for anyone with relevant dashcam vision to contact Crash Investigators via Crime Stoppers,” NSW Police said.
The domestic terminal of Sydney Airport was plunged into lockdown when a member of the public attempted to take a firearm from a police officer.
A police firearm was allegedly discharged inside the terminal on Wednesday morning.
There are reports from witnesses saying they heard a loud bang.
Video obtained by 2GB shows a person being restrained on the ground by officers at the airport.
Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers arrested a man and the lockdown has since been lifted.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
“An investigation into the incident has been launched and a crime scene has been established,” an AFP spokesperson said.
There have been no delays as a result of the incident.
Sydney Airport said it was assisting the AFP.
“The airport is operating normally,” a spokesperson said.
Three men have been arrested in western Sydney over the alleged planning of a public shooting.
Officers from the Tactical Operation Unit cornered a black Kia Serato at the intersection of the M4 and Prospect Hwy in Blacktown.
They jumped into action wearing bulletproof vests and helmets and it is understood officers fired a non-lethal “bean bag” round through the vehicle’s windscreen.
Police then smashed a back window and arrested the 22-year-old male driver and the 17-year-old male passenger.
The driver was allegedly bitten by a police dog and taken to Blacktown Hospital where he remains under police guard.
The teenager was taken to Blacktown Police Station.
Around the same time, detectives stopped a VW T-Cross driving on Carlton St in Granville.
The driver, a 36-year-old man, was arrested without incident and taken to Granville Police Station.
A search warrant was later executed at a home on Roebuck Ave in Willmot where police allegedly seized a loaded Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver.
“Investigations are continuing,” NSW Police said.
The victims of a gruesome double killing in Melbourne’s southeast have been identified as a man is charged over the horrific crime.
Police located the bodies of 39-year-old Athena Georgopoulos and 50-year-old Andrew Gunn inside a home in Mount Waverley on Monday night.
A 34-year-old homeless man was arrested without incident at Westall train station in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
He has since been charged with two counts of murder and will appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The couple had been together for three years and were expecting a child, with Georgopoulos five months pregnant.
Georgopoulos’ mother attended the scene of the killings on Tuesday and could be heard saying “oh my God” multiple times and screaming about her daughter being pregnant.
7NEWS understands Gunn had been decapitated and his head was believed to be found on a stick.
The nature of Georgopoulos’ injuries is unclear.
A series of cryptic messages were scrawled on the exterior of the home as well as across a fence opposite the property.
The messages included “enough is enough”, “karma has no menu” and references to veganism such as “meat is murder”.
Police say they are investigating if the graffiti is linked to the deaths.
Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said the attack appeared to have been targeted.
“We believe that there is a link between our suspect and the address but we’re just working together at this point to make sense of what that means and what it all looks like,” he said.
“The suspect has arrived at the address and then obviously an altercation has occurred which had led to the male and female being killed and the subject has then left the address.”
