North Melbourne debutant Cooper Trembath kicked his first AFL goal on Sunday and his family’s reaction was priceless.
The 19-year-old, who was plucked from the Roos’ VFL program in this year’s mid-season draft, kicked his side’s second goal of the day against GWS late in the first quarter.

With teammates coming from everywhere to mob him in elation, the broadcast cut to his family in the stands, who were ecstatic.
But it was Trembath’s grandmother — a 50-year member of the Western Bulldogs — whose emotions spilled over most.
After the family all sat back down, Nan was pictured still shedding tears of joy in what was a beautiful moment.

Unfortunately for Trembath, it may not have even be his nan’s favourite moment of the day, as Anthony Hudson explained.
“I’ll just tell you a little story about his nanna,” he said on Fox Sports.
“As excited as she was for young Cooper, the highlight of today was being able to meet (former Bulldogs player) Caleb Daniel (who now plays with Trembath).”
All jokes aside, Dermott Brereton added: “Oh, that is beautiful. Isn’t it amazing what this sport does to people? It’s fantastic. It is fantastic — good on you, Nan.”
