Port Adelaide icon Travis Boak and Fremantle legend Nat Fyfe have swapped jumpers to mark the end of the Power great’s AFL career.
The Dockers claimed a crucial six-point victory over Port on Saturday night after trailing with just two minutes remaining.
And while the immediate focus was on Fremantle’s win boosting their hopes of finishing in the top four, a more personal post-script played out in the middle of ground.

Boak and Fyfe handed their respective jumpers to each other before sharing a warm embrace.
“That’s a nice moment between two greats,” Dwayne Russell said in commentary.
Their rivalry began back in 2011, taking in a famous 2014 semi-final won by Port Adelaide from 29 points down in the second quarter.
While Boak will wrap up his stellar career at the end of the month, Fyfe has yet to announce his future after focusing on getting back at the end of a stop-start season.
Waylaid by hamstring and calf injuries for much of the year the 33-year-old returned as the sub against Port and could now play a role in Fremantle’s finals tilt after all.
The veteran had three clearances from seven disposals on Saturday night as Dockers skipper Alex Pearce kicked his side to a 13.14 (92) to 13.8 (86) victory.
But Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir is urging his players to not get caught in the hype of rising into the AFL’s top four, saying nothing changes after their fourth win this year from a three-quarter-time deficit.
Pearce’s goal, in just his second game in 10 weeks because of shin hot spots, came after he pushed forward for a spectacular high mark in a pack of players.
“That’s a set play for us, where one of our tall backs goes forward,” Longmuir said.
“You try and get a mismatch and he had a mismatch — it’s still an incredible mark.
“Really proud of him for that moment.
“But that moment is, like I said to the players after the game, a sign of how hard he’s worked in rehab to be able to still have that run in his legs to get forward and launch at a ball like that.
“It’s a credit to the way he’s handled the last six weeks and it was a nice moment, one that was well needed.”
The Dockers slipped 14 points down early in the last quarter but kicked four of the last five goals for a crucial victory.
Freo (60 points) are equal on points with Geelong (second), Collingwood (third) and ladder-leaders Adelaide, who play later on Sunday.
“Nothing should change,” Longmuir said.
“Yeah, we’re writing our own story, telling ourself our own stories that we want to write.
“But don’t get caught up in the noise. Live in the moment.
“Recover well, review well, have a day off, and we’ll get stuck in to Brissy who will come over to Perth wanting revenge.”
Reigning premiers Brisbane slipped out of the top four when losing to Sydney on Saturday night.
Longmuir’s charges took fourth ahead of a home clash against Brisbane and an away fixture against the Western Bulldogs before the finals.
