A woman has been injured in a random assault by a man in Adelaide’s CBD.

Police were called to North Tce just after 3am on Friday.

Officers located a 20-year-old woman from Aberfoyle Park with injuries to her face.

Police say she had been assaulted by a man who was not known to her.

The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with assault.

He was bailed to Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
