The driver of a car on a highway in the NT has died and the passengers are fighting for their lives after a crash on Wednesday.
A 76-year-old man died at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the Victoria Hwy at Delamere, about an hour southwest of Katherine, at 6.30am.
The crash left the three other occupants of his car — a 70-year-old woman, a 63-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man — all fighting for life.

They were taken to Katherine Hospital in a critical condition.
A 25-year-old man, who was the only person in the second car involved in the crash, was also taken to Katherine Hospital in a stable condition.
St John Ambulance, NT Police, and the NT Fire and Rescue Service all attended the scene.
The Victoria Hwy, between Delamere and the Vince Connolly Crossing, was closed to traffic as investigators worked at the scene.
Delays impacted motorists in the area for the remainder of Wednesday.
