A wife-to-be who was allegedly murdered by her fiancé had only recently returned home with him from interstate after supporting him through an appointment for a long-standing medical condition.
Ali Lauren, 30, was allegedly stabbed to death by her fiancé Tobias Nuttall, 32, at her Bassendean home, in Perth’s northeast, about 12.30pm on Wednesday.
She was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition, but later died.

Ali Lauren is an alias for the 30-year-old’s full name, which www.20304050.best has chosen not to publish.
Nuttall was the co-host of the Waking World podcast, which discusses the “occult, magic, spirituality, and everything clandestine”.
In the wake of his arrest, Nuttall’s co-host, Dale, revealed the couple had only recently returned home after travelling to NSW together so the podcaster could attend a medical appointment.

Dale said Nuttall suffered a broken back in a workplace accident last year when he was “almost completely run over”.
Dale said Nuttall had informed him he was on a flight home from Sydney on Wednesday — the same day police will allege he murdered his partner.
“He came over to Sydney for a medical appointment to do with his broken back that he suffered last year,” Dale said in an episode posted after Nuttall’s arrest.
“It was devastating getting a phone call on Thursday morning from (Nuttall’s relative) telling me (he) had been arrested for a serious offence.
“All of our worlds have fallen apart since Wednesday, Thursday.
“It’s not just Ali’s family — it’s everyone who is touched by it.”
Tributes have begun to flow for Ali, who was a beloved member of the sex worker community in Perth, with a friend telling WAtoday she was “a calm, very intellectual and a deeply introspective type of woman, who deeply cared for her friends”.
The friend further described her as an animal lover and keen reader with an interest in psychology and philosophy, who was “head over heels in love” with Nuttall.

The friend also said the trip to Sydney involved Nuttall seeking compensation through the courts over the injuries sustained to his back.
In July, Ali appeared in a two-and-a-half-hour episode of the Waking World podcast for an “open and thought-provoking conversation” about the “realities of the sex industry”.
Ali, who was mainly questioned by Dale while Nuttall remained silent, said she grew up in New Zealand before moving to Western Australia as a child.
She said she became a stripper when she was 22 before transitioning into sex work during the COVID-19 pandemic and was employed at a brothel in Perth.
Nuttall announced on the show that the couple had “recently got engaged” and praised his fiancée for her work on the podcast.
“(Ali) has been really, really awesome in terms of the level of transparency that goes into something like this,” he said.
In the wake of Nuttall’s arrest, Dale has released two podcasts announcing the developments to their followers.
“It’s been a really hectic 24 hours actually ... The Waking World podcast is not going to move forward any longer with Toby,” he said in an episode uploaded on Friday.
“It’s nothing to do with whether we’ve fallen out, it’s much worse than that. Toby has been charged or is being charged today with a very, very serious offence over in Perth ... and it involves obviously his partner, his girlfriend that we had on the podcast.”

According to his social media profiles, Nuttall graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of philosophy in 2019.
Aside from hosting, Nuttall also appeared as a guest speaker on other podcasts, most recently featuring on a UK broadcast shared to YouTube just three days ago.
Nuttall, from Brigadoon, faced Midland Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
Dressed in a blue jumpsuit, Nuttall only spoke to confirm his name and did not apply for bail.
He is next due to appear via videolink in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on September 17.
