A pedestrian is fighting for life after he was hit by a truck on a major motorway.

The man was struck by a white Hino 300 series truck on the Logan Mwy at Kingston, about 45 minutes south of Brisbane, about 12.50pm on Monday.

He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, Queensland Police said.

The driver of the light-duty truck is assisting police with their ongoing investigation.

But police are appealing to the public for any addition information about the crash they may have.
