His alleged attacker has not been found.

A young man has been stabbed in the neck at a shopping centre, and his alleged attacker is on the run.

The 23-year-old was allegedly attacked at Pacific Square shopping centre on Anzac Parade in Maroubra — in Sydney’s eastern suburbs — about 11:30am on Saturday.

Paramedics treated the man for a wound on the back of his neck before taking him in a stable condition to St Vincent’s Hospital.

NSW Police are still looking for the man’s alleged attacker.

The man was last seen in the shopping centre and is described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander and about 180cm tall.

He was wearing a black hoodie jumper, light coloured pants, a black cap and a blue surgical mask.

Anyone with information or footage from the area is urged to contact NSW Police.
