The body of a man has been pulled from the Yarra River in Melbourne’s CBD on Saturday.

About 2:30pm Emergency services were called to Yarra Bend in Fairfield after a member of the public discovered a body in the Yarra River.

Despite the best CPR attempts by the crews, the man died at the scene.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined.
