Paramedics treated him for a gunshot wound, and he was rushed to hospital for treatment.

He is believed to be in a non-life-threatening condition.

Police established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances of the incident, they said.

About 15 minutes after the alleged shooting, emergency services were called to a car fire on Kindlebark Cl, in the nearby suburb of Claremont Meadows.

Fire and Rescue NSW put out the fire and police declared a second crime scene.

“While investigations into both incidents are in their infancy, one line of inquiry being examined is that both incidents are linked,” police said.

Forensic teams were seen examining both sites, and investigations are ongoing.
