Police have arrested a 31-year-old woman over the alleged attack.

A luxury Sydney hotel has been caught up in an alleged stabbing attack involving two staff members.

Emergency services were called to the InterContinental Hotel, on the corner of Phillip St and Bridge St in Sydney’s CBD, just before 2.30am on Saturday following reports a person had been stabbed.

Paramedics treated a 30-year-old female staff member for multiple injuries to her hands, face and back before she was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The woman was allegedly stabbed with a pair of scissors.

Her 31-year-old female co-worker has been arrested by police, with charges expected to be made later in the day.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing, police said.
