South Australia Police have launched a commissioner’s inquiry into an arrest in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs that left a man in critical condition.

On May 29, police attempted to arrest Gaurav Kundi on Payneham Rd, Royston Park, at about 2:45am on Thursday, where police allege they witnessed an “altercation” between Kundi and a woman.

While allegedly resisting arrest, the condition of the 42-year-old man from Modbury North declined and he “became unresponsive”.
