Classic Cheeseburger with Burger Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 burger bun, toasted
- 1 ½ tbsp burger sauce (see recipe)
- 2 leaves green oak lettuce
- 2 slices tomato
- Pickles, to taste
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 100 g premium beef mince
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Shape beef mince into a patty, season with salt and pepper.
- Cook on medium-high heat for 2 ½ mins per side. Add cheddar on top to melt.
- Toast bun lightly.
- Spread burger sauce on top bun, then layer pickles, lettuce, and tomato.
- Place patty on bottom bun, close, and enjoy!
Special Burger Sauce
Ingredients
- ¾ cup whole egg mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tablespoon American mustard
- 2 tablespoon Ketchup
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch smoked paprika
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons sweet spiced gherkins, chopped roughly
- Splash of juice from gherkins
Method
- In a small mixing bowl, add the mayo, mustard, and ketchup.
- Sprinkle in the garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne.
- Stir until smooth and evenly combined.
- Fold through the chopped gherkins with a slash of liquid.
- Taste and enjoy!
