Sam Kerr’s family is in mourning after the Matildas superstar’s grandmother died, aged 90.

But now, just 10 months on, she has sadly passed away.
The family made moves to keep death quiet and a funeral was held on Tuesday morning near her home in Palmyra..
Last week, they published a heartbreaking obituary in The West Australian, without mentioning Sam and Daniel’s (the latter a former AFL star for West Coast) names.

The obituary said: “Though you no longer walk beside us, your presence is felt in every shared memory and quiet reflections.
“Be at peace knowing you will never be forgotten.
“Mum and Mum- in-law to Phillip and Dominique, grandmother to Dylan, Kasi, Logan, Jake and Britoni. Great grandmother to Saskia, Ophelia, Abel, Ivar, Jake,” it said.
As well as omitting Sam and Daniel’s name, Sam’s father Roger and mother Roxanne were also not mentioned.
Coral and her husband moved from India to Australia more than 50 years ago.
She has previously spoken about her relationship with Sam, calling it “fantastic”.
“Nearly every week, she sends me a message, I phone her. I FaceTime with her,” she said.
“Whenever she comes home, she’s always here having breakfast.
“Her favourite breakfast is a pirrata, which is an Indian bread with jam. Or we go out for a coffee or lunch. She never fails to come and see me and take me out.”
After the accident at the end of last year, Roger Kerr, told The West Australian that Coral was “going pretty well”.
“She’s had both her hips done, her pelvis done, a rod in her knee, two broken ankles . . . she’s come through all of it,” Kerr told The West.
“She’s a real strong lady, naturally she’s a bit upset because she can’t move around and it’s going to take her a long time to move, but she’s in good health and good spirits, that’s the main thing,” he said.
A man has pleaded not guilty to two charges over the crash and will next front court in November.
