Matildas star Clare Wheeler and long-time partner Jeremy Ord have announced their engagement.

The happy couple shared magical photos and a video from the proposal at Italy’s iconic Cala Luna beach in Sardinia.

In the video, Ord can be seen walking over to Wheeler at the edge of the water before getting down on one knee and popping the question.

The couple captioned the post with the date, “17.07.25💍🩵”

The post was immediately flooded with likes and comments from friends, family and Matildas teammates.

Tameka Yallop, Charli Grant, Kyra Cooney-Cross, Emily Gielnik and Mackenzie Arnold were among the many other Matildas stars to congratulate the happy couple.

Wheeler and Ord have been in a relationship since 2021.

The 27-year-old, who plays for Everton in England, has 30 caps for the Matildas. She was a member of the 2023 World Cup squad and last year’s Olympics squad in Paris.

She recently withdrew from the international friendlies against Slovenia and Panama for personal reasons.

The proposal continues a happy period for Matildas stars.

Alex Chidiac recently married partner Erin Clout, while last month Ellie Carpenter and Katrina Gorry also tied the knot to their long-time partners.
