Will Brown’s horror qualifying run has continued, missing out on the top 10 for a third race at the Darwin Triple Crown.
The reigning Supercars champion’s 11th-place result in qualifying for race 19 gives Triple Eight teammate Broc Feeney the chance to extend his 143-point lead at the top of the standings even further on Sunday.
Feeney has continued his unstoppable form, claiming a third successive pole as he seeks a clean sweep of the event.

He will start the final race of the weekend from the front after blowing the rest of the grid out off the track with a lap time of one minute 6.068 in the top-10 shootout on Sunday.
Feeney won both races on Saturday and can further extend his 143-point lead at the top of the standings over teammate Will Brown, whose poor qualification run continued with an 11th-placed result.
The 22-year-old was the only driver to improve on his time in the earlier qualifying sessions as the searing dry season heat impacted performance at Hidden Valley Raceway.
“I was pretty chuffed with that one. I felt like I was actually struggling a little bit this morning,” he said.
“Literally just got into the 10 at the end there on the last lap. We sort of went back to yesterday’s car and, yeah, it was awesome.”
Feeney is in the best form of his career, having won the past four races.

Erebus driver Jack Le Brocq will join him on the front row, going round two-tenths slower.
It’s the best qualification result for Erebus this season.
The team has struggled since the departure of Brodie Kostecki to Dick Johnson Racing and languish at the bottom of the team standings.
Anton De Pasquale rounded out an all-Camaro top three, despite battling a clutch issue that impacted his down shifts.
Ryan Wood will start along De Pasquale on the second row, while Kai Allen took fifth position.
Allen was on track for an even better result, having topped the first two sectors, until an error on the final turn saw him lose time in the final sector.
The 19-year-old has been in the best form of his rookie Supercars season this weekend, snagging a maiden podium with a third-place finish on Saturday.
His Grove Racing teammate Matt Payne clocked the sixth-fastest lap, while Matt Stone Racing driver Cam Hill came seventh.
Macauley Jones and Andre Heimgartner will start in eighth and 10th on the grid respectively.
The two Brad Jones Racing men were the only drivers on used tyres and were unable to match the speed of the rest of the pack.
Championship contender Chaz Mostert will jump from ninth.
Brown will start in 11th, having missed out on the top 10 for all three races of the weekend.
Alongside Brown, Kostecki (12th) and Tickford Racing drivers Cam Waters (16th) and Thomas Randle (17th) were some of the other big names to miss out on the shootout.
Jaxon Evans was ruled out of Sunday’s action after his Brad Jones Racing Camaro suffered heavy damage in a crash on the first lap of Saturday’s opening race.
The final 200km sprint of the weekend gets underway at 3.10pm (AEST).
