Australian cricket great Michael Clarke has had another brush with skin cancer, urging fans to get checked.
The 44-year-old former Test captain received his first diagnosis in 2006 and has had about a dozen cancers removed in the years since.
Now Clarke has had “another one” cut out of his nose on Wednesday, wasting little time speaking out to help others.

“Skin cancer is real! Especially in Australia,” he wrote.
“A friendly reminder to get your skin checked. Prevention is better than cure but in my case, regular check-ups and early detection is key.
“So grateful that (his doctor) got it early.”
Clarke required surgery to remove a dangerous basal cell carcinoma from his chest last year.
He had cancers cut out of his forehead and face on separate occasions in 2023.
Later that year he teamed up with the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation, telling Sunrise he tries to get checked twice a year.

“Just about every time I need to get things zapped off my body, particular my face because I’ve spent so much time in the sun,” Clarke said.
“I’ve probably had 20 skin cancers cut out of my body.
“I get nervous but I think the advantage is I went from quite a young age so now I know, minimum twice a year I’ll make sure I go and get checked.
“Peace of mind is so important. Australian summer, this sun here is as strong as anywhere in the world.”
Clarke preached caution to all Australians, saying he was not a special case just because he was outdoors playing cricket.
“I don’t think that is the case,” he said.
“I think of my daughter, I put sunscreen on her every morning to go to school — that didn’t happen for me as a kid.
“When you’re out swimming you haven’t got many clothes on ... reapplying sunscreen is so important.
“Every single day of our life we’re out in the sun. Driving a car, window up, window down, you’re getting hit by the sun. Taking the dog for a walk, you’re getting hit by the sun.
“I don’t think it’s necessarily just the fact I was playing cricket. I was pretty disciplined putting sunscreen on every day, I’d reapply. Our sun is just so hot here. You’ve got to do everything you can to try to prevent getting sunburnt.”
