The game was stopped for as trainers and medical staff rushed onto the field to assist
One doctor had his hands on Grundy’s head and neck in worrying scenes.

Grundy was able to get to his feet and walk from the field, but played no further part in the game.
He underwent an HIA and while he was given the all clear on Saturday night, more tests in the coming days saw him enter concussion protocols.
Grundy will now miss Sunday’s clash against Geelong and be touch and go for the final game of the Swans’ season next Saturday night against West Coast.
“He obviously passed his HIA but then wasn’t well yesterday,” coach Dean Cox told SEN on Monday.
“He’ll be into concussion protocols, which will mean he won’t be available this weekend.”
It is the first time Grundy will miss a game for the Swans, having featured in 47 matches since moving from Melbourne at the end of 2023.
It could also be a major blow to his All-Australian hopes.
Cox was hopeful Grundy will return for the final game against the Eagles.
“He might be back for that,” Cox said.
“I think the thing we need to do with Brodie is to just assess day-to-day, which is what we have done with Hayden McLean.
“He (McLean) came back after the 12-day protocol, and Tom McCartin was a week earlier.
“We’ll just assess it as it plays.”
When Grundy was injured, former Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley recounted a similar incident involving Grundy during his time at the Pies.
“He went down at training at one stage with the Pies and had to be taken to the hospital with his neck. They are holding him in that position now,” Buckley said.
“Maybe a stinger, he was moving his hands so maybe he got a bit of a nerve shoot down there.
“That’s great vision for me given I’ve seen him in that position before and it didn’t end well,” Buckley added when Grundy was up on his feet.
In another injury blow, classy winger Justin McInerney suffered a knee injury that will end his season early.
The club believe he has suffered a PCL injury, but are awaiting scans to determine the full extent.
Sydney have endured a rollercoaster season in Dean Cox’s first year in charge.
After struggling early on, they have won seven of their past nine games to rise up to 10th on the ladder, but last year’s grand finalists won’t feature in the finals this year.
