There is a chance GWS Giants’ Academy product Josaia Delana may not be the best footballer in his family.
Delana, who made his AFL debut this year after the Giants drafted him as a Category B rookie last year, has a younger brother who is a rare cross-code talent.

In fact, 11-year-old Rai Delana was out to become a New South Wales All-Schools champion twice in one day.
Young Rai became a rugby league state champ on Wednesday.
Then, after that, he raced across Blacktown to try and win an All-Schools AFL title under lights.
The pair are products of Kings Langley Public School in New South Wales.
Josaia Delana is also a fellow cross-coder and only the fourth recruit from Western Sydney to join the Giants.
“To see the parallel pathway that he’s taking, you know, it is very similar to myself,” the excited big brother said.
And Rai’s father, Joe, says he hopes the journey of his sons will “open up the door for a lot of kids” who want to try AFL for the first time.
But when push comes to shove, Rai is convinced what footy code he’ll play.
“League so far,” he told 7NEWS.
But the young star’s mum, Natalie, is not so sure, and she has a Giant dream.
“There’s eight years between them ... I’m saying, you know, one day they could actually play in the same team,” she said.
Rai said: “Hopefully we can just play and have fun together.”
And what level that will be, that remains to be seen.
Josaia Delana last played for the Giants in the win over Geelong in Round 9. He made his debut at the SCG in the Giants’ clash with the Sydney Swans.
