Melbourne superstar Kysaiah Pickett has put pen to paper on a monster contract extension that keeps him tied to the club until the end of 2034.
Pickett, who already was contracted through to the end of 2027, has agreed to a seven-year extension.
The new deal is worth a staggering $12.5m over the course of the contract, which translates to over $1.3m a season. It also makes him the longest contracted player in the entire league.

Pickett’s signature also comes after constant speculation surrounding his future.
The 24-year-old has hinted at trades the past two seasons due to family reasons, but ultimately stayed with the Demons.
7NEWS chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary suggested it’s hard to see Pickett getting through his entire deal without hinting at a trade again.
“Kozzy Pickett has hinted at a trade the last two seasons so it’s hard to see him getting through an entire NINE years not suggesting the same,” Cleary tweeted.
Pickett was delighted to sign the new deal.
“I’m really happy and proud to be continuing my career in the red and blue,” he said.
“I love my teammates and my coaches, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the years to come. We have shared some special memories over the past few years here, and I’m excited for what we can achieve next.
“The club has shown so much care for me and my family, and I can’t thank them enough for their support. I would also like to thank the Demon fans for all the love.
“I get to live out my childhood dream, playing footy for the oldest club at the MCG, and I’m excited and grateful to be a Demon for life.
“I’m so grateful to have Ardu and Belleny on this journey with me. Everything I do is for my family, and I just want to inspire my little brothers and my nephews too.”
Melbourne are understandably thrilled to secure the signature.
“As one of the most dynamic players in the game, we are very excited that Kozzy has chosen to commit to Melbourne for the long term,” list manger Tim Lamb said.
“Kozzy is a special talent, and to have him sign a seven-year extension shows the belief he has in where we are heading. He loves the club and his teammates, and he wants to help drive sustained success for this group.”
