A pedestrian has died three weeks after being struck by a cyclist on a residential street.

The 66-year-old woman was trying to cross Dandelion Dr in Rowville — in Melbourne’s southeast — when she was hit by a cyclist about 1.35pm on June 26.

Paramedics treated the woman for serious injuries before taking her to hospital.

She then died from her injuries on Thursday, Victoria Police said.

The cyclist, a 49-year-old man, was treated for a minor injury.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no charges have been laid.

The current tally of road deaths in Victoria is 171, almost 20 more than this time last year.
