Two teenage boys have been charged after a high-speed police pursuit ended in a crash and foot chase.

Police attempted to stop a bronze SUV on the Pacific Highway near Bonville, NSW, on August 7 about 2pm, which was allegedly stolen from a home in The Entrance between Wednesday and Thursday.

When the driver failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle crashed into two other cars on Stadium Dr before becoming bogged in grass and coming to a halt, police said.

The teens fled on foot but were caught nearby.

Both face multiple charges, including reckless driving and possession of knives in public.

They were refused bail and appeared in children’s court the next day.

Forensic examination of the vehicle and phones is ongoing.
