Two people were killed when a car rolled on a remote highway on Thursday.
A man and a woman were found in the wreckage when emergency services responded to reports of the crash on the Stuart Hwy, about five minutes from Kulgera, the NT’s closest settlement to the SA border.
The car was found on it’s side, and both occupants were declared dead at the scene.

Emergency services were sent from both SA and NT — from Alice Springs, almost three hours north of the crash scene, and from Marla, nearly two hours south, in SA.
The Stuart Hwy was closed in both directions and motorists were urged to avoid the area where possible.
Investigations are ongoing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The deaths mark the 13th and 14th lives lost on NT roads this year.
