At least one motorbike was involved in the crash, which is causing major delays.

Two men have been injured in a collision on a major Melbourne freeway, with multiple lane closures causing traffic delays for morning commuters.

The collision took place on the City ink/Tullamarine Fwy between Bulla Rd and Bell St in Pascoe Vale South about 7am on Monday.

Two men were treated at the scene for lower body injuries before being transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in stable conditions.

Three of the five citybound lanes were closed on the freeway however have since reopened.

Traffic remains “heavily congested” on both the Calder and Tullamarine Fwys according to the transport department, and there are delays of up to 25 minutes.

“Surrounding roads including Pascoe Vale Road and Keilor Road are also busier than usual,” it said.

It’s believed the collision involved at least one motorbike.
