A man has been shot in Melbourne, with police investigating after he presented himself to a hospital in the city’s north.

Police were initially called to reports of gunshots heard in Bethall Gully Reserve near Lubeck Crt in Meadow Heights about 3.30pm on Sunday.

Not long after, a man took himself to a hospital in Epping with apparent gunshot wound injuries.

He remains in hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

“Investigators believe that the people involved are known to each other,” police said.

“The investigation remains ongoing.”
