A teenaged tradie has died after he hit his head on the floor while doing a backflip.
Sonny John Orlando Blundell, 18, hurt himself last week while trying the stunt in his lounge room of his new apartment on the Gold Coast.
He went to bed with a headache, woke up to vomit and was then found unconscious by his housemate the next morning, his sister said.

Blundell suffered multiple strokes and doctors intervened to drain bleeding on his brain, but he died on Monday.
The teen had been in good spirits after recently moving into a new apartment in Southport with his best friend.
“He moved to Queensland to start a new life with his girlfriend and had got offered a concreting position on the new light rail,” his sister Izabella Cromack-Hay told the Courier Mail.
“Sonny had an extraordinary lifestyle. He lived his short 18 years of life to the fullest.”
The teen is being remembered as the “kindest, loving and (most) nurturing man you could have met”.
“He was a funny, smart, cheeky boy,” one online tribute said.
“You will be missed dearly, Sonny.”
Another said: “Rest easy, Sonny. You weren’t just a friend, you were a brother to so many.
“We love you and (we’re) going to miss you.”
His family are in “disbelief and major pain”.
A GoFundMe was launched to help the family return his body to the NSW Central Coast for a funeral.
