The victim of a stabbing attack has been rushed to hospital and is fighting for his life.

The man was stabbed by a man known to him inside a home on Bellbird St at Inala, in Brisbane’s southwest, Queensland Police allege.

The victim was found with critical injuries to his stomach and limbs when police responded to reports of the stabbing at about 6.15am.

A man known to the victim was arrested on a nearby street 15 minutes later.

“There is no ongoing threat to public safety,” police said.

A crime scene has been established, and the investigation is ongoing.
