A bushwalker has been rescued after being left clinging to the side of a cliff for about two hours on the Sunshine Coast.
The Gympie man, aged in his 50s, was climbing Mount Beerwah in the Glass House Mountains when he became stuck while scaling a vertical cliff face at about 12.21pm on Friday.
It’s understood he initially set off to walk the 2.6km trail but instead decided to climb straight up the rock face.

He was seen stranded in the middle of the mountain, waiting for rescuers to arrive.
Someone spotted him stranded in the middle of the mountain and called emergency services, where he waited for rescuers to arrive.
He was rescued about 2.35pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service said the man did not suffer any injuries and refused hospital transport.
Four fire and rescue crews were at the site and specialist teams were seen abseiling down to where the man is.
