Bloody scene confronts police after alleged Gold Coast assault

A 29-year-old man remains in a serious but stable condition.

A man has been hospitalised and remains in a serious condition after an alleged assault on the Gold Coast.

The 29-year-old man was at home on Baileys Mountain Rd in Upper Coomera when two men forced their way in about 3.45am on Tuesday morning.

Police allege he was assaulted by the pair.

Suffering significant wounds to his arm, he was taken to hospital by a person known to him.

He remains at the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A crime scene has been declared at the residence and investigations continue.
