A local pedestrian has been killed by a car in Melbourne’s north on Friday.

The 52-year-old woman from Westmeadows was struck on Mickleham Rd at Westmeadows about 6.55pm.

She died at the scene, Victoria Police said.

The driver, a 22-year-old man also from Westmeadows, was not physically injured in the crash.

He spoke to police, and investigations are ongoing.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
