A man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Queensland.

The 66-year-old was a passenger in a Nissan Skyline which crashed into a pole at the intersection of Neon St and Potassium St, Narangba — a 40-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD — about 6.45pm on Tuesday.

The driver, a 34-year-old man from North Lakes, was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition but the older man died at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Queensland Police.
