A man’s body has been pulled from the Yarra River in Melbourne.
The man was seen in the water below the Hoddle Bridge in South Yarra by a passerby about 2.20am on Sunday.
Police say the passerby called police when the man “disappeared from sight”.
Search and rescue teams recovered the body of the man who has not yet been formally identified but believed to be in his 40s.

“At this stage the death appears non-suspicious,” Victoria Police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
