A man has been hospitalised following an alleged stabbing in Sydney‘s inner west.

The incident occurred on Lilyfield Rd, Lilyfield, just before 2am on Friday.

A 28-year-old man was treated by paramedics for a gash to his face before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police were seen questioning a woman outside an apartment block.

“Officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced,” NSW Police said.

Anyone with any information has been urged to come forward.
