A 40-year-old man has died after the car he was driving collided with a tractor on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Goldfields Way and Reinholds Ln in Temora in southern NSW at about 3.20pm.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the Kluger driver but he died at the scene while the driver of the tractor, a 28-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to Temora Hospital for mandatory testing.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information or dashcam/phone footage of the crash is urged to contact Cootamundra Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
