A man has died after a gunman opened fire on a suburban street on Tuesday.
The victim, who is yet to be formally identified, was critically injured on Regiment Grove in Winston Hills, in Sydney’s west, about 7pm.
“Officers ... were told a man had been shot while in a car,” NSW Police said.

The man was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital where he died.
The crime scene has been roped off and detectives have launched an investigation.
The incident comes 48 hours after a father was gunned down outside a pub on Sunday night.
Gilbert Shino, 39, was peppered with bullets after leaving the Harold Park Hotel on Ross St in Forest Lodge.
His friend Maradona Yalda, 31, was rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and abdomen.
