A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder after a 27-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death in Central Queensland last week.

Police were called to an address in Maida St, Lammermoor — about 40 minutes northeast of Rockhampton — shortly after 7am on Friday where they located the 27-year-old with life-threatening injuries.

He died a short time later.

On Monday, the 36-year-old from nearby Berserker was charged with murder.
