Police have arrested a 47-year-old man a day after a woman’s body was found dumped in bushland.
The woman, also 47, was discovered by a passerby at an “isolated” reserve off Irwin St in Werrington, in Sydney’s west, just after 1pm on Sunday.
A crime scene was set up as homicide detectives began their investigation.

On Sunday, Detective Superintendent Trent King said it appeared the woman had been there for a “period of time”.
Following what police said were “extensive inquiries”, a man was arrested 20 minutes north of where the woman was found at a home on Powell St in Hobartville about 6pm on Monday.
He was taken to Windsor Police Station and is being questioned by police.
No charges have been laid.
