Police have arrested a 31-year-old woman over the alleged attack.

A luxury Sydney hotel has been caught up in an alleged stabbing attack involving three staff members.

Emergency services were called to the InterContinental Hotel, on the corner of Phillip St and Bridge St in Sydney’s CBD, just before 2.30am on Saturday following reports a person had been stabbed.

Paramedics treated a 30-year-old female staff member for multiple injuries to her hands, face and back before she was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The woman was allegedly stabbed with a pair of scissors.

A 27-year-old woman who also worked at the hotel tried to intervene, and was also allegedly assaulted, police said.

She suffered minor injuries and was also taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Another co-worker, a 31-year-old woman, was arrested over the alleged assaults

She was taken to Day St Police Station and charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing, police said.
