It took 17 firefighters to get the blaze under control.

A dog has died in a house fire in Adelaide’s south.

South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) crews attended a home on Phillip Ave in Morphett Vale about 6.50am on Sunday.

An MFS spokesperson told www.20304050.best 17 firefighters arrived to a “fully involved house fire” which they managed to extinguish in 30 minutes.

Three dogs were found at the property, with one confirmed dead.

The crew made the sad discovery in the burned-down ruins.

The occupants were not home at the time.

SA Police engaged with the local council to assist in managing the other two pets.

Fire investigators remain at the scene and the cause of the blaze is still unclear.
