Police have been unable to identify a young man found dead in a Brisbane forest.
The body of the man in his 20s was found in Toohey Forest at Nathan about 1pm on August 7.
The death has been deemed non-suspicious, but police are now seeking help to identify the man, who had no identification on him, no tattoos, and no identifying features.
It is believed he had been sleeping rough in the Salisbury area before his death, and visited a Salisbury shopping centre on at 10am on July 9.
Anyone who knows of a young man between 175cm to 190cm tall, with brown-ish red hair, a slim build, fair complexion, and stubble, is urged to contact police.
Two home invasion victims have been hospitalised on the Gold Coast.
A 58-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were attacked when two men allegedly forced their way into a home on Dugandan St at Nerang about 3.30am.
The men were arrested at the home, as the residents were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with head and back injuries.
Two passengers have been killed in a single-vehicle crash on South Australia’s Kangaroo Island.
A 42-year-old man from Woodcroft in SA, and a 26-year-old man from the UK died as their car rolled on Cape Willoughby Rd at Cuttlefish Bay about 11.30pm on Wednesday.
The driver, a 42-year-old Hackham West man, suffered minor physical injuries and was treated in hospital.
He has since been arrested and charged with two counts of cause death by careless use of a motor vehicle. He will face Kingscote Magistrates Court on November 17.
Two separate crashes have caused traffic delays for Perth commuters.
All but one lane has was closed on the Great Eastern Hwy after a car rolled near Hovea about 6.30am.
There was also a crash on the Kwinana Fwy at Aubin Grove causing delays for southbound traffic, Main Roads WA said just after 5.30am.
Both crashes have since been cleared and traffic is flowing again, but with some delays.
Opposition Leader Sussan Ley has apologised at a press conference to Indian Australians over migration comments made by Jacinta Nampijinpa Price on Thursday.
“May I take this opportunity, as leader of the Liberal Party, to apologise to all Indian Australians and indeed others who were hurt and distressed by the comments that were made, comments that I said at the time should not have been made,” Ley said.
“I reaffirm my strong support for all our migrant communities, for the values that they bring to this country, for the contribution they make, and for choosing to come to Australia.”
Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has released a statement after she was ousted from the Opposition’s front bench on Wednesday.
She revealed “regret at not being clearer” in her comments claiming the Labor government was bringing in more Indian migrants to bolster its vote.
Sussan Ley asked the outspoken NT senator to step down after she refused to apologise for her controversial comments, and failed to back Ley’s leadership.
“I wish no ill-will whatsoever to the Indian community — or any other migrant group,” she said in the statement. “I have accepted the Leader’s decision.”

A gunman remains at large, after the FBI confirmed a second suspect has been released over the deadly shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
“The subject of the horrific shooting today that took the life of Charlie Kirk is now in custody,” FBI Director Kash Patel said on X.
But Patel confirmed the supsect’s release within the hour, “after an interrogation by law inforcement.”
“Our investigation continues.”
An alleged firebug shot by police will face court during a bedside hearing from hospital on Thursday.
He was shot by police during an alleged murder attempt at a Cabanda St house on fire in Wynnum West about 9.20am on Tuesday.
The injured 39-year-old Wynnum West man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he will face court charged with attempted murder and arson.
Australia’s acting Prime Minister Richard Marles has spoken out about the shooting death of Charlie Kirk at a US college event.
“Our thoughts go out to Charlie Kirk’s family,” he said on Sunrise.
“There’s no place for political violence. This is not how discussion or debate should be within society, and we absolutely condemn it.”
A suspect was taken into custody but has since been released, and officials have said the gunman is still at large.
A shouting match erupted in the US House Floor over the conservative CEO’s death, shortly after US President Donald Trump confirmed the shooting had been deadly.
“He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us,” Trump said on Truth Social.
