NSW Police have officially ended their operation in the city’s CBD, following the conclusion of the Sydney Marathon and multiple protest.
“No significant incidents” were reported, and only one arrest was made.
“During the high-visibility policing operation, hundreds of police were deployed across the city to help manage crowds and provide a safe environment for everyone.
“The deployment included officers attached to the Police Transport Command, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, Public Order and Riot Squad, Operations Support Group, Mounted Unit, Dog Unit and PolAir.
“One woman was arrested in Hyde Park for allegedly breaching the peace and was taken to Day Street Police Station.
“No injuries were reported.”
Victorian Police Minister Anthony Carbines described the anti-immigration marches as “grubby and hateful”.
Anyone who broke the law would be dealt with by authorities, he warned.
Thousands more people attended a rally in Sydney, where some carried signs saying ‘Albo’s got to go’ while crowds also gathered in Brisbane.
A few hundred people turned out in Canberra, where One Nation leader Pauline Hanson addressed the crowd to speak about loving Australia.
“If you don’t love it, I’ll be the first one to take you to the airport and put you on a plane,” she said.

Tentions between anti-immigration protesters and counter-demonstrators have reached a boiling point, with multiple altercations breaking out between particiants.
Police have been seen using pepper spray on brawling demonstrators, as fights broke out bteen pro-Palestinian and anti-immigration protesters.
One protester was seen injured after hitting their head on the footpath during an altercaion between the two groups.
Counter-demonstrators have clashed with people attending anti-immigration rallies in Brisbane on Sunday.
Police could be seen keeping the two groups of protesters seperated as “March for Australia” attendees walked past Roma Street Parklands.
The Courier Mail reported protesters at the rally could be heard shouting “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi’ and “sack Albo”.
Hundreds of people have descended on Townsville’s memorial park in Far North Queensland to begin anti-immigration marches.
Event organisers discussed rules with the gathering crowd, including staying off local roads and only carrying the Australian flag.
Participants waved flags while some passing cars honked horns in support.

Influencer and former reality TV star Abbie Chatfield has condemned the “March for Australia” rallies calling participants “racists” and “xenophobes” in a TikTok video.
“I didn’t want to talk about this because I didn’t want to bring attention to it, but it’s now getting attention, so it’s time to talk about it and condemn it,” she said.
“They claim it is about cost of living and Australia gaining itself back, but this is nothing but a racist, biggoted, disgusting, terrifying rally.
“For any immigrants who are watching this...please know you are welcome.”
Chatfield said the protests should be condemned by “all Australians” and that the majority of Australians “don’t agree with it”.
“It is easier to blame people who are below you than it is to fight upwards,” she said.
A controversial Queensland politician has unleashed a threatening spray at a journalist, calling him a “racist” and refusing to answer questions during a press conference in Brisbane on Thursday.
Maverick MP Bob Katter was at a press conference alongside his son, Robbie, on Thursday morning to throw Katter’s Australian Party support behind so-called March For Australia rallies, which claim to advocate “for Australian values”.
Katter is also calling for the names of people who attend what he called “anti-Australian rallies”.

The Chevron City to Surf run is underway, with more than 20,000 runners descending on the Perth CBD covering the 12km to the City Beach coast.
The event began with a sunny but chilly 12C, with temperatures expected to reach 21C throughout the day.
Multiple road closures are in place, including St Georges Terrace, William Street, Mill Street, Howard Street and Sherwood Court which will be shut from 1am until noon.
In City Beach and Floreat, there will be closures on Oceanic Drive, between West Coast Highway and Challenger Parade as well as Fred Burton Way from 4am until 2pm.
