Patience has paid off for Sam and Snezana Wood.

The reality TV show couple, who wed in 2018, have finally sold their lavish family home in Melbourne's Elsternwick after initially listing the property last year.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom Victorian residence is understood to have recently sold for close to the $6.6 million asking price with Dow Real Estate.

The couple, who share four children, listed the glamorous property for sale in November with Marty Fox from Whitefox.

It had a price guide of $6.35 million to $6.65 million.

The property was relisted with Taylor Dow, from Dow Real Estate, with a revised guide of $6.6 million.

Cotality records show Sam and Snezana bought the 1900-built house in September 2018 for $3.31 million.

The couple extensively renovated the home, transforming it into an elegant show-stopper designed by Castley McCrimmon Architects.

The contemporary and elegant home ties in with the property's original heritage structure.

Updates included restoring the ornate facade, removing the dated 1990s kitchen and bathrooms, and installing a resort-style swimming pool.

Described as setting "a benchmark in design and craftsmanship", the home boasts premium high-end finishes.

Inside features arched doorways, dark parquetry flooring, high ceilings and black steel frame windows.

A timeless black and white palette, including the fully integrated gourmet kitchen, is adopted throughout the home.

The 45-year-old sold his fitness program, 28 by Sam Wood, for a staggering $71 million in 2022.

The sale suggests the couple, who met on season three of reality TV show The Bachelor in 2015, could be on the hunt for a bigger home to accommodate their growing family of six.

The pair have four children: Willow, Charlie and Harper, and Snezana's daughter Eve from a previous relationship.

Since buying a two-bedroom unit in Carnegie in 2014 for $477,500, Wood, 45, has built an impressive property portfolio across Victoria worth around $10 million.

His second real estate buy in 2017 saw him buy a three-bedroom investment property in Broadford for $295,000.

He also holds another investment property in Upwey, which he bought for $531,000 in 2018 - the same year he secured the house in Elsternwick.

According to Cotality, the median house value in Elsternwick is $2.07 million.
