It’s been a very good year for KitchenAid.
The brand practically broke the internet late last year when it collaborated with Australian fashion designer Alemais to produce a new bowl complete with natural elements like the sun and moon painted onto it.
And just as it does every February, the global masters in kitchen cookware have named the annual Colour of the Year.

For 2024, the winner is “blue salt”.
Almost sky grey in appearance, the Stand Mixer created in the new colour is a break from the matte colours the brand has been producing recently.
It has an iridescent finish that reflects different colours depending on the lighting, giving home chefs the ability to “spark new inspiration everyday”.
The new 4.7 litre Stand Mixer is $1,049 and comes with a wire whisk, flat edge, pastry beater, dough hook and pouring shield.
Needless to say the KitchenAid fanbase is thrilled with this year’s colour choice.
“It definitely looks dreamy with a pearl finish. Interesting to see it in the flesh so to speak,” one Instagram user wrote online.
“Oh my goodness … this is PERFECT!!!!!! I’m ready to sell my Candy Apple Red one and buy this gorgeous blue … is it available now?” Wrote another.
A third said: “Wow, I too love it. Would go perfectly in my kitchen”.
The Stand Mixer is currently on sale on KitchenAid’s website if you’re ready for an upgrade.
