Former Home and Away star Tessa James has revealed some very unexpected family news during a live interview on The Morning Show.

The popular star appeared on the Channel Seven show on Thursday in her first television interview since 2015.

Speaking to host Kylie Gillies and fill-in host Matt Doran, James revealed that she is now the mum to three young boys.

The 32-year-old has been married to former NRL footballer Nate Myles since 2011.

In January 2018, James announced that the couple had welcomed their first child by posting a photograph of Myles pushing a pram on her Instagram page.

But news that she’s now mum to two more children will come as a surprise to many.

“I think I’ve lived about three or four lives,” James said on The Morning Show.

“I now have three children, three boys, and life is really good. It is full and crazy and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

James went on to reveal that the boys are now aged five, two and one - but admitted it was a struggle to get out the door that morning for her TV appearance.

“I got dressed pretty much outside so no-one would touch me because I’m in white and my husband took the boys to school,” she admitted.

“It’s a very planned-out operation so that I don’t get dirty or I can have make up on etc!”

James was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014, but is now in remission.

The former appeared on The Morning Show to discuss her new career as an interior designer.

She’s started home styling business AKI Interior Design with her mother and sister, and is also studying interior architecture.

“I’ve always been creative and my mum is an interior architect and so is my sister,” she said.

“We decided to come together and rebrand AKI and really go for it.

“I’m studying interior architecture - I’m halfway through that degree - and we just really enjoy working with each other.

“We are a really good support system with each other and we are able to help each other. My sister has a little girl as well, so it’s a nice juggling act.”
