A Queensland woman has told of her delight to find her postman had gone the extra mile, by bringing in her dry sheets when it started to rain while he was delivering parcels at her house.
Homeowner Verrity Wandel was shocked when she arrived home last Thursday to find her sheets were not on the clothesline where she left them — and where she feared they had been rained on while she was out.
But on reviewing her CCTV she saw postman Gurpreet Singh folding the sheets and leaving them by her door.

Wandel shared the footage, which received millions of views along with praise from famed Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.
Appearing on Sunrise on Tuesday, Wandel said she at first thought her husband must have brought the sheets in.
“I was kind of shocked,” she said.
“I thought the washing was on the line, so where is it now? It wasn’t until we watched the cameras that we saw that it was Gurpreet.
“It is something that probably would have happened in my parent’s era or in a smaller community, but it is not something you would expect today.”
Singh shrugged of the praise, saying while taking a customer’s washing off the line was a first for him, he liked to help.

“I like helping, like just sliding a customer’s parcels inside their premises or under the doorway because we are not allowed to go inside,” he said.
“(I like) to help them out by taking the parcel upstairs for them, that sort of thing.”
On this occasion, Singh said: “I knew no one was home because they didn’t come outside.
“I turned my back and saw the sheets on the clothesline, and it just came to my mind to do that.”
Wandel and Singh said they were going to try to catch up for a cup of tea.
Singh said: “Yes, she spoke to me about it. I’m going to deliver a couple of parcels and call in to see her.”
Wandel replied: “That would be fantastic.”
